Panel Discussion: Cannabis/Hemp in the Entertainment Industry

This panel will discuss how brands can strategically leverage their products to access audiences from creators and studios.  We will touch on the best ways for brands to attach themselves to/within media, and how brands can license IP and create unique product experiences for both customers and audiences.  New technologies in web3 can unlock creative monetization avenues that we can explain.  Past media such as “Reefer Madness” was largely responsible for cannabis prohibition, the impact and power of this medium is not to be underestimated.  New projects such as “Madness” will provide several examples on how brands, web3, and studios can collaborate to make entertainment more dynamic and engaging for audiences leading to more growth and sales for all.

Devin of Abracadabra Films will provide insight into new media product placement and film/TV collaborations sharing his experience with “Jay & Silent Bob Reboot”, Comedy Central, SirusXM and several cannabis brands in California and Colorado. He is going to provide examples on how brands can use web3 tools to connect with new and existing customers. Devin’s new film “Madness” is the true story of the Ybor City murder which was the inspiration for the original propaganda film “Reefer Madness”; he is going to share some Tampa history and explain how “Madness” will integrate brands even though the film is set in 1933.
